چکیده

A routine of regular exercise is important in patients with inflammatory arthritis. Most patients with stage I and stage II RA are capable of engaging in an exercise program. Benefits include increased cardiovascular and muscle endurance, as well as improved muscle strength (Table 1). This in turn allows patients to function more independently and with an improved quality of life. Exercise programs are designed to restore range of motion, improve strength and endurance, and at the same time provide a social outlet and opportunity for improved self esteem. Exercises should progress slowly during which time patients should be closely monitored for symptoms of increased joint inflammation.

Experimental Study on Protective Role of NSAID on Articular Cartilage Destruction in Septic Arthritis

Background: Surgical drainage and antibiotic therapy are the cornerstones of treatment protocols in septic arthritis; however, in some circumstances, the diagnosis and initiation of treatment may be retarded by slow disease progression or the time when the patient’s condition precludes early surgery. Therefore, it is beneficial to find ways to reduce the amount of articular injury. This study a...

Synovial fractalkine plays important role in cytokines’ related knee edema variation in rat arthritis model

Introduction: The systemic and local content of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines play substantial roles in pathophysiology of arthritis. This study was purposed to verify the roles of synovial TNF-α, IL-6 and fractalkine (Fkn) in edema changes during different stages of Complete Freund’s Adjuvant (CFA)-induced knee arthritis in rats. Methods: 168 male Wistar rats were divided i...
